Historic Oak Creek
The town of Oak Creek was
incorporated in 1907, and has long since been home for hardworking
rancher, rough and tumble miners and those that prefer unbeatable mountain
lifestyles. The town has changed shape many times over the years, with
population boom and busts, altering the look of the downtown business
area.
Oak Creek Today
There are restaurants, lodging, gas stations and several stores that
provide a wide variety of groceries, supplies, gifts, and souvenirs. Many
community activities occur year around, from sports, mountain recreation,
and rodeos, to the weekend long Oak Creek Labor Day Celebration!
The Future of Oak Creek
With the Governors Smart Growth Award, Oak Creek's vision of the future is being acted upon now.
